Denham's Night of the Living Dead--Disguise for Murder
October 2011
George Romero's 1968 Night of the Living Dead was a watershed moment in
the history of horror films and a theme I've wanted to use for many
years. We did the show on Kelleys Island and in Cape May in October
2011. The Kelleys Island version had a healer who could restore zombies
back to human status and in one of those impossible to plan for moments
my killer took her out in the opening round!
Plus the Kelleys Island Police Department helped out. During the opening
meeting we got a stern warning not to venture outside as the flashers of
the patrol car were going 'round and--as an extra treat--our killer from
the previous year was handcuffed and taken out for questioning.
You just never know what's going to happen next!
